Oxoid™ Blood Agar Base No. 2 (500g) is a highly nutritious medium used for the cultivation of a wide range of fastidious microorganisms, including bacteria, yeasts, and fungi. This enriched medium is particularly effective for growing pathogens that require the presence of blood for optimal growth. It supports the haemolytic activity of microorganisms, enabling the detection of different types of haemolysis (α, β, and γ) based on the breakdown of red blood cells.

• Storage: Store the dehydrated medium at 10–30°C, protected from moisture and light
