Oxoid™ Buffered Peptone Water (BPW) (500g) is a non-selective, nutrient-rich enrichment medium used for the pre-enrichment of bacteria, especially for recovering sub-lethally injured Salmonella and other pathogens from food and environmental samples. The medium provides a buffered environment that stabilises the pH and promotes the repair and recovery of stressed bacteria before they undergo selective enrichment.
